Surgery at Oswego Veterinary Hospital

Surgery can be a stressful experience for you and your furry family member, and we will do everything we can to limit the stress for both of you. You are always welcome to call our office on the day of surgery to check on your pet, or request a call or e-mail when your pet has recovered.  We will even be happy to e-mail you pictures as he or she snuggles in a recovery blanket!

All of our surgical patients receive a physical exam prior to anesthetic induction, pre-surgical medications to eliminate any possible stress or discomfort, and IV fluids during surgical procedures.

Our surgeons offer you a high degree of expertise, as well as caring attitudes for both patient and family members. We use the same anesthetic gases and fluid therapy that human patients are  receive in human hospitals. Our sophisticated surgical and monitoring equipment allow us to provide a sterile and safe environment for your pet and we have highly trained certified nurses at your pet's side through the entire procedure. Pain management begins early in the day to assure each patient's smooth, easy recovery.

We would be delighted to give you a tour of our surgery suite or any other part of our hospital, because we are proud of what we do.
